What does "verified supplier" actually mean, what's the vetting process?
A verified supplier has gone through our QMS (quality management system) verified review process, covering capability, certification, and capacity, before their profile goes live and becomes searchable. Buyers are looking at confirmed processes and credentials, not just self-reported claims from a website or PDF.
How is TandemOne different from other marketplace platforms?
Those platforms operate at the RFQ and instant-quoting stage, acting as a broker between you and the other side. TandemOne lives upstream of that. We meet and verify each supplier ourselves before they're listed, then step aside. We're not a middleman, so you deal directly with the supplier and stay in control of the relationship.
What is an RFI, and how is it different from an RFQ?
An RFI (Request for Information) is a structured, criteria-based way to reach out before either side is ready to negotiate, it covers capability, capacity, and fit. An RFQ (Request for Quotation) comes after that, once you have confirmed a real match and are ready to discuss pricing and terms. TandemOne replaces the cold-email version of an RFI with a structured one.
Can suppliers see buyers?
Not upfront. Buyers are typically fielding dozens of requests at once, so their identity stays private until an RFI is sent. Once a buyer sends you an RFI, Pro and Growth suppliers can see exactly who that buyer is, along with the title, description, and requirements, and respond directly through the platform.
What information do I need to submit to get verified?
A standardized profile covering your core capabilities and processes, certifications, facility and capacity details, and location. Our team reviews it before your profile goes live.
How long does verification take?
Verification is a manual review by our team, not an automated approval. Most suppliers with a complete profile are live within a few business days.
Do I get any visibility into who's viewing my profile or sending RFIs?
Yes. Your RFI activity dashboard shows every RFI and its status, and marketing and engagement analytics show interest in your profile, so you can see real demand instead of guessing at it.
Do you verify certifications (ISO, IATF, AS9100, etc.)?
Yes. Certifications like ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100D, and NADCAP are confirmed as part of verification and shown directly on your profile, so buyers can filter and trust what they see without asking you to prove it over email.
Who owns the relationship once a buyer and supplier connect, do you take a cut or stay involved?
You do. TandemOne does not take a cut of any deal and does not stay involved in the commercial relationship. Once an RFI turns into a real conversation, the quote, the contract, and the ongoing business are between you and the other side, with invoice tracking available on the platform if you want it.
